3 Reasons Why REVOLVE is #Winning on Instagram

Surprise, it’s me again, and yes we’re going to talk about all things #REVOLVE. In my last post, I told you about the little things that Revolve should be doing to improve their Facebook page. I was very surprised with Revolve’s lack of engagement, and scattered posting schedule. But, fear not, their Instagram is everything, and other companies need to follow along! So, without further ado, here are the three ways Revolve is killing it on Instagram.

Consistency is Key

Every single day…yes you heard it right. Revolve posts on their Instagram page daily. On average there are usually anywhere from five to ten posts a day. This content varies between videos, and pictures that keep audiences on their toes. However, it’s important to remember, Revolve is not clicking “post” all at once. They are scheduling these posts throughout the day. This is essential to remember because if a brand posts a ton of content all at once it’s going to be overwhelming to followers. As one of my classmates, Lauren Baumholtz, noticed that the posts are broken up between morning, afternoon, and evening. This is a simple way to spread out the content, and target people at different points throughout the day.

Behind the Camera Action

This is something that Revolve has mastered! Whether it is reposting influencers wearing new Revolve collections, or posting #RevolveAroundTheWorld there isn’t a shorttage of behind the scenes posts on Instagram. Sprout social recommends for brands to take their users through the ins, and outs of the company through Instagram stories. Revolve has done this through #RevolveAroundTheWorld. The hashtag is a way for followers to (literally) travel around the world with the brand on some of the most ultra glamorous photoshoots. Revolve shows their followers more than just models posing in front of the camera. The trips consist of content packed activities where the models are modeling all of the newest, and coolest collections of the season. Revolve has proven that Instagram is the perfect spot for followers to get to know the people behind (and in front) of the camera!

Establish a Social Media Voice

Do you ever read one of your best friends text messages, and can actually hear them saying it? Well, the same goes for social media! Hootsuite suggests that developing your “brand voice” will actually help you improve your social media presence. Essentially, what vibe are you trying to convey to your followers. Revolve does this always! Whether it is creating a short catchy caption with bright colored emojis, or responding to a comment in a friendly manner. Every single time Revolve post, or comments they are developing their brand personality.
